Wining & Dining in Buckhead
Let’s make one thing clear, wine has a beautiful way of bringing people together and forming bonds. So when in doubt, always choose wine.
One of Buckhead’s finest, Susan Been, hosted an intimate, snazzy, and tasteful autumn evening dinner of fine wine and dining in special regard to Vida Valiente Winery.
Last week, Viktor and I attended an exclusive elegant dining experience at Susan Been’s breathtaking Atlanta home. She had just returned from Paris and was hosting a dinner in regard to tasting a rousing palette of fine wine. Not to be a Gossip Girl or anything, but if you’ve heard the rumors about Susan’s immaculate hosting style, I must confirm that those rumors are definitely true. Not only is she such a genuine and kind soul, but she also possesses a strong talent for hosting and bringing people together.
Along with our upscale dining experience, we had a wine tasting courtesy of Vida Valiente Winery. The wine paired with the dinner was nothing short of divine. I strongly appreciate a good presentation and that is exactly what we got at dinner. Fine wine expert and Vida Valiente’s very own Director of Sales, Lacey Burke, did very well introducing the different wines throughout the evening and telling us the backstory behind each. We got to drink 2020 Maxem UV Chardonnay, 2021 Maxem Silver Eagle Pinot Noir, and 2019 Vida Valiente Cabernet Sauvignon. It was a pretty big deal and I am more than grateful to have been included.
What is your go to drink? At the dinner, my favorite glass of wine was the Maxem Silver Eagle Pinot Noir. My favorite meal combo was the Sea Salt Caramel Drizzle, Pecan Brittle paired with the 2019 Vida Valiente Cabernet Sauvignon.
Below I have included the wines I experienced along with some of my favorite wine accessories.
